WMH&I Circuit Breakers brief challenged me to brand a third space that helps reduce loneliness.
In the UK loneliness is a growing public health issue, with nearly half of adults experiencing it often.
FINDINGS
For many, loneliness it's not just about being alone, it's about being out of sync with the world around them.
For night workers, limited access to healthy food options outside their shifts can lead to long term health effects.
OUTCOME
Circadian Canteen brings night shift workers together by offering a place to eat at unsociable hours, helping to reduce loneliness.
By serving healthy meals made using surplus food from local supermarkets, it reduces food waste and creates a space for them.
