'Interlinked' turns environment awareness into a collaborative game inspired by mycelium's hidden network. Up to 15 players enter the MycoDome and have 10 minutes to save the network from dying. Working together, the players handle crisis like Drought, Deforestation, Pandemics and Blackouts, which echo the planets own interconnected challenges. The game encourages teens to connect with nature in an engaging way.

Interlinked
BRIEF
In my second year at university, my team and I were tasked to design an urban intervention for Bournemouth gardens to encourage teenagers to visit and engage with the space.
FINDINGS
UK teens spend over 7 hours a day on screens, reducing time spent outdoors and limiting real-world social interaction.
Our target user is drawn to light and physical activities, showing a preference for sensory stimulation.
Bournemouth Gardens has reports of anti social behaviour, making teens feel unsafe and discouraging them from visiting the space.
OUTCOME
Inspired by mycelium’s hidden networks, we created the interactive installation 'Interlinked', which invites teens to work together to restore balance in nature. Through teamwork, light, and play, it encourages environmental awareness and connection to the natural world.
